This business unit provides Walgreens patients with infusion prescriptions compounded in a USP797 compliant sterile clean room, coordinates care, obtain prior authorizations and ensure patient compliance. These pharmacies provide medications to patients with acute or chronic conditions generally administrated through catheters and/or needles in home or ambulatory treatment sites. These are typically called closed-door pharmacies and are not in retail settings.
